The world-famous Minor Hotels Group, which includes renowned brands such as Anantara, Avani, and Oaks, has recently taken over operations at the iconic five-star, 396-key Ibn Battuta Gate property in Dubai.

The property, which is owned by Seven Tides, has been rebranded to Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Dubai Hotel in July, it is the newest addition to the Oaks Hotels, Resorts, and Suites portfolio, its second branded property in Dubai and its third in the United Arab Emirates.

The hotel offers guests a range of modern accommodation options for both business and leisure travellers and includes 352 guest rooms across three categories, plus 44 suites. The three guest room types – Premier, Deluxe, and Executive – are stylishly furnished with Moroccan influences, while the Suites have décor inspired by the explorer Ibn Battuta's adventures across the world.

Abdulla Bin Sulayem, CEO, Seven Tides, said: “The Minor Hotels group is no stranger to Seven Tides, we have worked with them on a range of successful projects, including the Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, and have witnessed first-hand the success the group contributes to a property. We are, therefore, delighted to be working with the team again."

The five-star property is ideally situated opposite Ibn Battuta Mall, which has more than 270 shops, 50 restaurants, and a 21-screen cinema. Guests also benefit from having the Dubai Metro close by, allowing them to travel conveniently across the city to many of Dubai's tourist highlights and business districts. The hotel is also close to the Jebel Ali Free zone and the Expo 2020 site in the new Dubai South district, which expects 25 million visitors, when the event takes place between 1st October 2021 and 31st March 2022.

After a long day of exploring everything Dubai has to offer, a host of restaurants and bars are available at the property.
